AP Health Solutions ("AP Health Solutions," "we," "our," or "us") is an independent health insurance brokerage based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use aphealthbrokerage.com (the "Site"), request a quote, or contact us, and how we handle that information.
The short version: We collect what you give us when you ask for a quote or get in touch. We use it to advise you and place coverage with carriers you choose. We do not sell your information. We share it only with the carriers and tools necessary to provide you with insurance options or run our practice.
This policy is a general template and has not been reviewed by an attorney. Please have a licensed attorney review it before publishing, particularly given multi-state licensing and any state-specific privacy laws that may apply to your clients.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information collected automatically, and information we receive from third parties.
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, email, phone number, ZIP code, and similar information you submit through forms on the Site.
- Coverage information: the type of coverage you are exploring (individual, family, small business group, ACA, dental/vision, etc.), household or employee count, current carrier, effective dates, and similar facts you share so we can provide accurate options.
- Health-related details you choose to share: general health questions, prescriptions, providers, or conditions you mention so we can match you to plan networks and benefits. You are not required to share more than you are comfortable with.
- Communications: emails, text messages, and call notes when you correspond with us.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data: such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages viewed, collected through standard web hosting logs.
We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on this Site. If that changes, this policy will be updated first to describe what is collected, how to opt out, and how to manage your preferences.
Information from third parties
- Insurance carriers and general agencies: when we run quotes on your behalf.
- Referrals: if an existing client refers you to us, we may receive your name and contact information from that referral.
- Service providers: that help us operate the Site and our practice (for example, hosting and form delivery).
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your inquiry and prepare side-by-side quotes;
- Submit applications to carriers you authorize;
- Service your policy year-round (claims questions, renewals, ID cards, and similar requests);
- Operate the Site, including troubleshooting and security;
- Send transactional messages (appointment confirmations, document requests, renewal reminders);
- Send occasional educational or marketing messages, which you can opt out of at any time;
- Comply with our legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations as a licensed insurance producer.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Insurance carriers and general agencies when you ask us to quote, apply for, or enroll in coverage. Each carrier handles your information under its own privacy practices.
- Service providers who help us run the practice, such as hosting, form delivery (Formspree), and email. These providers process your information only on our instructions.
- Professional advisors (legal, accounting, compliance) under confidentiality obligations.
- Government agencies and regulators where required for licensing, marketplace enrollment (e.g., HealthCare.gov), or compliance.
- If required by law, in response to subpoenas, court orders, or to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
4. HIPAA & protected health information
AP Health Solutions is a licensed insurance producer. In some interactions we may handle information that resembles protected health information ("PHI"). We treat any health-related information you share with us as confidential and use it only to advise you on coverage and to communicate with carriers you authorize. We do not disclose health-related information to third parties for marketing.
If you are an employer-client and we act as your group's broker of record, additional confidentiality and HIPAA-related obligations may apply under our written agreement and the carrier's terms.
5. Cookies, analytics & tracking
This Site does not currently use cookies for analytics, advertising, or account logins, since it does not have a client login portal. The Site may use minimal, strictly necessary technical data to function (such as standard web server logs).
If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future (such as Google Analytics), we will update this section to describe what is collected, how it is used, and how you can opt out.
6. Your rights & choices
You can:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of your information, subject to record-retention rules that apply to licensed insurance producers;
- Opt out of marketing emails or text messages by replying STOP, clicking the unsubscribe link, or emailing us;
- Withdraw consent for us to continue acting on your behalf at any time.
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including rights related to how personal information is used. Email us at Astridphealth@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights, and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. AP Health Solutions does not currently do business in California. [This section should be reviewed and completed by an attorney based on where your clients are located.]
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and as required by state and federal record-keeping rules that apply to licensed insurance producers (typically several years after the policy ends or the relationship concludes). When we no longer need your information, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information in our care, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and reputable hosting providers. No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect that your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
9. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated to you directly.
